7th Grade Math
7th grade math will follow and discuss the topics and standards that are listed in the Common Core for Grade 7. Topics will include but are not limited to the following:
*Ratios and proportionality
*Ratios and Proportion Applications
* Rational Number Operations
* Expressions
*Equations
*Data Distributions
*Geometric Measurement
*Probability
During the year the students will be asked to complete Math Projects in and out of the classroom. These projects are designed to help strengthen the mathematical processes we are studying at that time and to broaden their knowledge. Students are also asked to work in groups as well to encourage class participation and social skills. Students will complete a variety of assessments and other reinforcement activities to ensure their understanding of the topics we have covered. Learning games and other interactive activities will also be introduced in class and promoted to be used outside the classroom.
